Working great by D. Willcutts
I bought this for my wife’s birthday. She swims most days and was desperate to be able to listen to music. I was worried about killing a perfectly good ipod but gave the Otterbox a try. She’s been using it for the last few weeks and loves it… no problems at all.
She is using it with the H3 Waterproof Headphones. She did not like the wrap around frame but we could easily take that off and now it works great.

bought two years ago,use 3 to 4 times a week.i work in the construction feild,very wet and dusty enviroment,after 2 years of use the box shows some wear,but dry as a bell,i’m going to buy one for my i touch.

Works as advertised. I’m using it with the H3 waterproof headphones while doing laps and I can listen to music to break up the monotony. The clip is sufficient for securing it to my shorts; a band or other harness is unnecessary for me. Only issue is that I’m finding it impossible to change the volume once I’m in the water, probably because the wetness interferes with the touch function. Make sure you adjust volume before you get in the water. Clicking the buttons works just fine though, so you can skip songs or pause or turn it off with ease. Be advised that this case is rather large in comparison to just the Nano itself, and while not quite a brick, it is probably more than what you are expecting.
Ultimately disappointing by yawie99
On one hand, I really like the protection the Otterbox affords. I’m not a swimmer, but am a disgustingly profuse sweater when I work out and the case has served my iPod well. However, the headphone connection on the Otterbox seems to wear out over time producing poor sound quality (e.g. static, loss of sound on one side). I’m on my second case in about 14 months and am again experiencing the problem. The company was nice enough to replace my first Otterbox at no charge, but at this point I’m ready to look for a waterproof alternative.
