The worst by Mark Jones
For a product that costs $80 bucks it is the worst. I sent back two pairs because the male end that plugs into my iTouch either broke or the cable wore through in less than 3 weeks. Don’t waste your time and money.
Vi-Moda Earbuds by H. Maulden
V-MODA earbuds are better than Bose, any Sonys I tried. Fit is solid and comfortable. Quality is best I’ve tried in others up to $150. Wish I’d known about them earlier.
V-MODA Vibe Earbuds by Richard Romaire
I have used earbuds and headphones extensively for years. I found these to be well made, sized well and comfortable. The sound quality is good but so bass bias it sounded very unnatural listening to my IPOD. I returned them to Amazon and received a prompt refund.
Wonderful sound. . .but too fragile. by G. Angelini
The sound of these earbuds is wonderful with good bass response and nice clear highs. The price isn’t bad… HOWEVER, my first pair developed splits in the wires about 1/8″ below the bud on each side after about six months.
And I ONLY use these to listen on my computer. They stay on the table next to my screen.
I called V-Moda and told them of my problem. They were very courteous and sent me a new pair (gunmetal). I’m about 5 months in on these and the wires are splitting again!! Exactly as before. Very disappointing. I would definitely consider this a design flaw and easily fixable. Put a small plastic sleeve over that area I would think.
At any rate, I will call them again for another replacement as maybe they have improved the design.
I would never advise buying these for someone very active as these wouldn’t stand up to the test. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week and for my iPod I use Shure E3c buds. Great sound and tough as nails, (3 years without a prob so far) but also twice the price of these.
