The miDock Portfolio gives you the ability to listen to your music anywhere with the same speaker quality you come to expect from Polk. With Polk`s miDock Portfolio, you can listen to your iPod anytime, anywhere. The miDock`s compact and light size enables you to carry it around in your briefcase or bag, wherever you’re going. Bring it to work, to school or on vacation. The miDock can operate on 4 AA batteries for over 8 hours or you can also plug it in with the supplied AC adaptor for unlimited listening. The miDock Portfolio is compatible with all iPod models, and has an auxiliary input for other MP3 players. Backings of different sizes are supplied to accommodate all the iPod generations, including the Mini and Nano. The Shuffle can connect through the auxiliary input. Polk miDock iPod dock by S. Wright
Functional product. Small speakers like this will never give you really good sound, but if you want the ability to charge your iPod and listen to music someplace where you don’t have a real stereo system, it gets the job done. The only annoyance I have with it is that it does not have an external earphone jack. This isn’t horrible, because you can plug a jack into the top of the iPod, but it is a little annoying since you have to swing the speakers back in order to get access to the jack on the top of the iPod. It would have been nice if the engineers over at Polk had thought of this and added a simple audio out jack to the back or side of the system.

Not a bad little toy - I got it on sale at a store near my house. Does not work with iPhone, works fine with my iPod Video 60GB.
Sound is adequate, seems sturdy.
Too bad about the iPhone.

This is a good product. I searched for quite a while - this works great for the office. I have no problem w/ volume adjustment, which I was concerned about when I saw the simplicity of the controls on the unit. I love the portability and I also like that it charges my ipod. Convenient.

I love to listen to my music loud and this little dock delivers! The sound is great very clear and great sound quality.
