Magnets-smagnets by charlie anderson
This case is really nice in all respects. It is quality made, very utilitarian, and does just what it is supposed to do-prove a safe container for an I touch.

The magnet absolutely do not affect the I touch. It’s a flash device-contains no hard drive.

But I will concede-if you put the Ipod into the case backwards-the the leather does obscure the I touch controls and does make it hard to operate. And that reader was also right-take his I touch out of the case & it works great. Now put it back in the case and it works great also-magnets and all!

Nice Case by Michael DiVitto
This is a very nice case. My iPod touch fits nicely and seems to be protected. I have full access to the screen, power button, headset jack and dock connector. There doesn’t seem to be any interference with my wireless internet connection. My only concern was that the case closes with magnets. I didn’t know how this would affect the iPod and the fact that I use it as a wallet to hold my license, cash and credit card. I’ve been using the case for about a month and it hasn’t affected the iPod or my credit card. The magnets are placed away from the area of the magnetic strip on the credit card, if you place the card with the strip at the top (by the opening). If you are picky about cosmetics (which I’m not) there is some weird stitching and folding of the leather at the bottom by the dock connector and the top by the power button where the leather is folded so the inside swede side is showing on the outside. Also the blue stitching that is used on the inside is showing on the outside in the same areas(white stitching is used on the outside). This is minor to me. It does what it is suppose to do and look and feels nice.

Works as advertised by KW
Although the fit and finish is not perfect, it fits the iPod well enough. It has entertained my kids in the “propped” position numerous times allowing me to finish a meal at the restaurant, although I find the angle a little steep when it sits on the tray table on an airplane. The raised leather edge on the face make moving to the edge of the screen when typing a little difficult, but the protection it provides a good trade off. I have never had any issue with the magnetic closure, and it keeps the case closed and secure. My iPod is in the case 24/7, and I carry it constantly. Would recommend it to anyone with out regrets.

Not SAFE for your IPOD TOUCH! by D. Durham
Well I am sorry guys … the the magnets in this case DO affect the ipod touch and we have proven it. It is not advertised that there are magnets in here. I had a brand new ipod touch… and it worked perfectly… I bought the Incipio Kickstand Case and after I received it in the mail and put my ipod in it … my ipod would NOT turn on. I was of course really freaking out. I finally got it to turn on after taking it out of the case. So I played with it for awhile and all was fine… I put it back in and within 1/2 hour it did the same thing. …

So then I thought well maybe its just my ipod and I asked my daughter if she would try her ipod in it… she gave me a look… but she said ok. Well after 10 minutes her ipod was still ok.. so she let it sit and we checked it an hour later and sure enough it would not turn on or do ANYTHING! She never had any issues until this.

I am NOT saying all cases with magnets will do this to your ipod and it does not look like it permanently hurt it. But who wants to take that risk when they are so expensive?? Not I.

I should also note that Incipio does not advertise they have magnets in the case.
